Our lab is currently working on several research areas:
- Conflicts in allegiances and mental health among LGBQ people of color
- Mindfulness-based interventions for queer and trans college students
- Measurement of internalized homonegativity
- The protective role of mindfulness and self-compassion for LGBQ people
- Disclosure and friendships among plurisexual women
- The role of machismo in the lives of gay Latino men
- Weight and health behaviors among sexual minority women
- Measurement of fat acceptance

Colleen and Eddie presented on behalf of the lab at the annual APA Convention in San Francisco, CA. The titles of their talks were Sexual Orientation Experiences and Well-Being among LGBQ Asians/Pacific Islanders in North America: The Moderating role of Culture and Resilience in the Face of Racism in LGBQ Communities and LGBQ Asians/Pacific Islanders in North America: The Role of Social Support.

Congratulations to our lab members, Elissa Sarno and Skyler Jackson, on graduation! Elissa has accepted a post-doctoral scholar position at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Minority Health and Wellbeing at Northwestern University, and Skyler has accepted an NIMH post-doctoral fellow position through Yale University's Interdisciplinary HIV Prevention Training Program.
